The problem really is north american's don't have first hand experience with Fascism. In Europe Fascism is still within living memory and so the resistance is much more readily visceral and available. Here, no one wants to believe because they can't believe it.

We in the recent history Interned Japanese citizens and non citizens using the excuse of war as legal cover. We didn't become a facist state and burn them all. People. We'd to back down the panic meter here.
I still think we have a buffoon who got elected not a facist with sites on global domination and concentrating power.
