He has experience at the ECHL and AHL level and he comes from a teaching background, also being a former professional hockey player gives him initial credibility as well. I scouted the Canucks message boards after the flames hire and they thought he would be a great assistant coach when he went from Dallas to Vancouver.

You need to know how to be heard though and have that right makeup. I don't have it which is why I am in management and not on the project ground level of my company (which I love infinitely more) and that is why I recognize it. The man who could be the smartest in the room, but not the man who could lead the troops to victory.
