IMO, he royally ####ed this team over for this season by having a contract dispute and not signing until the final day of training camp. Which he then followed up by putting an absolutely pathetic effort on the ice until he got injured in Minnesota. He had a 2 week hot streak after returning from injury, but looks just as bad as he did at the start of the year.
Gaudreau is not the only one of our stars who hasn't shown up consistently this year, but IMO he's the most important one to do so.
