I voted 'yes'... BUT, I'm not sure why people are giving him a pass on Elliott... he's never been a great G, nor ever considered a good #1, especially in the playoffs ...
...evidence suggests he was close to a deal with TBL for Bishop, then took a cheaper deal for Elliott... choosing better 'value' over getting the better G.
Now, there's 2 obvious counterpoints here...
1. I don't know this is actually how it went down
2. Even if correct, I don't know what TBL was expecting for Bishop, so it's hard to say BT made the wrong call.
However, I don't see how BT gets a pass on this, as no one has ever confused Elliott for a top tier G... people love to mention his save %, but that had a lot to do with the STL D depth and style of game, which was arguably the best defensively in the NHL.
