I honestly get PO'ed when people say "oh well, they're still in a playoff spot!" because that really doesn't matter...at all. The team has shown they're a lot better than this but now they just flat out don't care but because they played well in the past it's ok to just crap the bed now because it evens out? This team doesn't have close to enough skill and now they're showing no heart or push back to even be considered a threat for the playoffs. By some miracle if the Flames do make the playoffs, do you really think they'd be a match for any team? Are those 4 games they play supposed to be worth anything?

The team is bad and needs change...soon. You can say "change for the sake of change is never a good idea" but not changing anything and expecting something different is even worse IMO, it's just accepting failure and being ok with it.

I would look into getting rid of the coaching staff. All of them. GG just looks disinterested and Dave "the mortician" Cameron just stands around with his hands in his pockets. Siglet seems to be a goalie killer and it's like every goalie who comes here declines...it's not a coincidence anymore.

I would look at trading Gio, at this point I don't know if anyone would take him and if that's the case I would consider not protecting him (only if he can't be traded) because I think he's becoming to complacent and his contract is looking worse and worse as time goes on. I would not protect Brower, I would actually be surprised if LV took him.

None of this will happen though. The franchise will continue to say the right things and put up the rough and tough front and come up with some kind of excuses.

I said in the GDT that this was a hinge game IMO and I think it was. I just think the wheels started to fall off and it's going to be downhill from here.
