It sucks that teams feel they have to respond to a cheapshot against their star player with dirty plays themselves. But the NHL and the refs certainly don't care enough. Chiasson threw an elbow at Komarov later, but got hit with a penalty they scored on... didn't really send much of a message.

Or on the flip side, you get the Hathaway treatment after he tried to hit Ehlers 2 weeks ago. Thorburn went after him, then Chiarot came in after the whistle with this flying crosscheck to the throat.

No penalty by the way... I guess this is what teams are supposed to do in response?
