Maybe, maybe not.
Kipper was a third-stringer who couldnt even get a look in San Jose. That may not have been exclusively down to the Goaltending coach, but you'd think he'd have seen and reported....something.
What about Devan Dubnyk? He got bounced out of the two worst teams in the league in Edmonton and Arizona and then lands in Minnesota and got a Vezina nomination.
I think coaching has a lot to do with goaltender success. However, that being said, its also a collaboration between the goaltender, the goaltender coach and the rest of the coaches.
