He is not the first GM to hire a coach the couldn't get it right the first time. I like to think we have to look at his whole body of work and I think he has worked very hard for this organization. Unfortunately some teams are subject to a lot of micro management Pretty sure if given another shot at a coaching hire he would make the right call.
He is a smart GM and what we really need is some consistency at least at the management level. Are we going to let go of GM every that hits a bump in the road?
Lou Lamoriello has has had the benefit of consistency when he doesn't get it right the first time. I hope they give BT a lot more rope to continue add a foundation and some stability.
