The goaltending hasn't been good enough, give Rittich a shot. What's the worst that can happen, you lose in a blowout? Guess what, that's already happening. Best case scenario, he shocks the world and plays lights out. They have nothing to lose.
The team playing like this could have a lot to do with the fact that they have no confidence in their goalie's. We've seen that story before but it doesn't seem like they learned much from it. Don't let it fester, deal with it before the damage is too much to recover from.

Makes sense. If we are to critique BT for one thing that we have definitive answers on at the moment, is he's failed to get this team NHL level goaltending. Oil fully admit I thought he nailed it this offseason, but clearly not.
Not an easy problem to solve, this team had 0 goalie assets potential when he took over the team, and little we could afford to give up to get it. Might have to give up something we wouldn't have thought to get it now, as I don't get the impression any if our young goalies will be ready when our young core improves further.
If there were a way to leverage Gio into a netminder, that would be near. But for now, might as well try anything.
