Tkachuk- Monahan- Brouwer
Versteeg- Bennett-Chaisson
Ferland- Stajan- Bouma
That way Gaudreau will have a combination of skill and defensive responsibility on his line. Also, Maybe Tkachuk willl force Monahan to be emotionally involved on the ice.

I think that could work, but I would go:
Gaudreau-Backlund-Versteeg
Tkachuk-Monahan-Frolik
Ferland-Bennett-Hathaway/Brouwer/Chiasson
Bouma-Stajan-Hamilton
Gaudreau and Versteeg can be set free with a defensively responsible center who also can chip in some offense, Monahan actually gets some decent wingers that can cycle and get the puck to him for low slot shots, Ferland-Bennett-Hathaway hits everything and just tries to not get scored on too much, maybe they can at least bring some entertainment to this lost season, Bouma-Stajan-Hamilton is a respectable 4th line
Move Brodie back to the right side with any lefty on his left, trade Wideman for whatever as well.
