Truth is, the Flames played hard tonight, came out with energy, and controlled more of the play, from shots and blocked shots.
What needs to be answered is from that;
- why so few quality chances from all that possession
- why the ratio of quality chances for the Oil on their limited possession.
- And frankly, Johnson was also junk.

i very much agree. the flames are not good enough at turning their cycle into quality chances. it could be that they're just not good, or it could be that the system is junk. idk, maybe both. it seems like the current plan is cycle, cycle, cycle then throw it to the d for a weak point shot. that #### doesn't work.
the defense was hilariously porous tonight. i think Kevin will be riding pine knowing GG, so maybe Kulak will finally be freed. the difference between a davidson-benning pairing vs a jokipakka-engelland pairing is night and ####ing day and it lets a team be able to be dangerous all the time instead of wasting time knowing that they have to defend all shift
johnson was not great tonight, but the team didn't help him much. all 3 shots were from very dangerous spots.
