With games in hand, all of Vancouver, LA, and Nashville can easily leap frog Calgary, resulting in the Flames sitting 2 spots out of a WC spot.
The Flames simply can't afford to buy and chances are they're in a position to sell. Take one more off-season and look at expansion victims to retool the roster and come back with another coach next year.
