it's one game, to watch from the press box and try to assess from a different perspective, to get angry, and to make damn hell sure that when he gets his next opportunity he is never up there again.
he's in his 2nd full season. I think doing this kind of thing is still totally acceptable and part of the journey for a young kid and isn't that big a deal. Just because this is an option for bennett, you can't do this with guys like monahan/gaudreau, not unless you're willing to have some pretty adverse affects from a personality, chemistry, locker room perspective going forward if it doesn't work.
I like bennett, i thought he was actually doing better in the past few games, but i'm happy they are doing this. they have tried to let him play through it, it hasn't really created any drastic tangible result. So, given that he's just in his 2nd year, the press box option is a fully viable/acceptable one.
Hope he comes out like a monster against edmonton on Saturday and has another one of those 4 goal games!
