They need the offensive players to produce. That includes doing more than just scoring. You don't see him take a game over or dominate often at all anymore.

Monahan's faceoff ability this year alone makes him worth having in the lineup. That's one of the things that has bothered me the most, watching Bennett taking faceoffs in the offensive zone is basically a guaranteed loss of possession and a pretty easy carry out for the opposing team. This means a good portion of one of our best offensive players (Johnny) shift is spent chasing the opposition around trying to get the puck back, which is not a strong suit for that line as a whole. Bennett is brutal defensively, always loses his coverage which as a center basically means someone is wide open in the slot. At this point in time I hope they can get his value up a bit then flip him for a top line RW or a #4 defenceman. Resign Backlund and keep that line together for the foreseeable future.
