FWIW, it took Gallagher pretty much an entire season of drama free reactions to start getting calls that were deserved. I do understand that Connor, the Prince who was promised, gets every call and then some. And has, at the same time, got some diving calls along the way... but it is what it is, and I think until Gaudreau drops those type of antics from his game, we will continue to see lots more of the same. |
I really don't care about any of that. These are really simple rules that are being broken and it's embarrassing that some people's first reaction is to speak about his protesting when 20+ slashes in a recent game broke his finger.
The idea that NHL officials are not doing their job because they don't like a player or his attitude is beyond ridiculous and just another reason to feel embarrassed for what is the worst officiating organization in pro sports.
Gaudreau is a star player who isn't being protected by NHL rules. It has gotten to the point where it's beyond egregious this season and it needs to stop because it hurts the game. Full stop.
