Yup. The prequels as they are even contradict the limited amount of information that the original movies give us about Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan. It'd be a fairly easy thing to write a series of movies that give you an arc for Anakin that actually makes all six movies together his story, as opposed to three movies with no discernible protagonist and then three with Luke.
