The difference is one goalie had the bulk of their starts early in the season, when the team was playing like junk, and one has had most of their starts in the latter half, when the team has been playing pretty well to great.
Chad has definitely had an impact on the team's improvement, I'm not taking that away. He's been impressive, especially lately with some big time saves. He has separated himself from Elliott. But that does not make Elliott bad.
We could have a much, much worse back up goalie.
