Elliott goes if anyone needs a backup for playoff run. Especially with Riddich playing so well in AHL and an RFA. I am keen to see Riddich. He cannot perform any worse than Elliotts' near league worst save percentage. An AHL save percentage of 0.930 should translate to 0.910 at least at NHL level.
Wideman goes if any takers and he waives NMC. Happy with a David Jones level trade (6th).
Engelland and Versteeg have the most trade value (2nd or 3rd rounders). Could see them keep both given important roles on team unless we take a nosedive in next 6 weeks which is beginning to seem possible with all these losses to nonplayoff teams. Our schedule is very tough in March/April.
I think we net 2-3 picks by deadline as sellers. No buying. We are not contenders yet. A RW1, D4 and backup goalie away from contending. That all changes next year.
