Rogue One is by far the best Star Wars movie on many counts IMO - cinematography (love the rise of the death star and the tidal waves), story line, acting, musical score, the story slowly builds with a climax right at the end, the rebel cause is shown for what it would truly be - a loose faction of competing groups, the heroin is not lame, people die brilliantly for the cause ... and Vader as a true villain again. If Rogue One was not part of the Star Wars line up, it would be up for several Oscars this year i think.
