I was one of those people at my thanksgiving dinner convincing people to consider Nenshi. I'm still net positive on the guy, but his partisan sniping in the last two elections and his scornful dismissal of opposing views have soured my opinion of him enough that my vote is 100% available.
Maybe that's just part of the life cycle of a politician, but it's certainly been made worse by following him on Twitter. My non-twitter wife is still 100% team Nenshi, and I haven't the heart to tell her about his dark side.
By contrast, I am more in Rempel's camp now than when I started following her twitter feed just after the last election. She is over the top for sure, but she engaging, smart, and dedicated with a keen sense of humour. She is unapologetic as a conservative and as a feminist, and takes the worst of the abuse she gets with a strong chin, while calling stuff like this out.
