I had the original trilogy on VHS, then I HAD to buy the THX VHS versions. THEN, I bought the special editions on VHS... because I was a sucker.
Then I bought the original trilogy on DVD as a box set, but purchased the prequel trilogy individually. That was when full screen or widescreen was an option. So, I had to correct my mistake and buy another box set for the prequel trilogy.
THEN.... I bought all six movies in the Blu-Ray box set when it first came out.
There was a DVD verision of the original trilogy that was NOT the special editions, but I found out about it too late and I've not been able to track it down.
