Listen folks, we have to stop ignoring the bad habits of our favorite players. They are not infallible. If they play poorly, it is important to criticize them accurately and stop inventing narratives where "Wideman is ruining Brodie" simply by playing next to him.
Brodie is having a bad year. Deal with it.

Brodie was terrible tonight, and the goal - along with a few other plays - was/were all on him.
That does not change or negate the fact that they are a bad pairing and Wideman's play is having an impact on Brodie's.
No one (at least no one sensible) is saying that Brodie's struggles are 100% due to Wideman. But there is little doubt that it is a huge factor.
For defensemen, who your partner is has a huge impact on how you play. That is an indisputable fact, and this pairing sucks.
