Since this has turned into a nostalgia thread, I remember us affixing skateboard wheels to a GT and racing them down streets in the summer time. This was done with the renowned craftsmanship of a 12 year old, so sometimes a wheel or two would fall off half way down.
We first tried them on bike path hills, and then when that got boring, we raced down residential streets (plenty of seizable ones in the NW). The GT brakes were useless on concrete so if you wanted to stop you either ran out of hill, or you bailed.
I don't even want to think what would've happened if we hit a parked car, never mind a moving one.
