It seems to me that when a team loses a star player to injury, it often does very well in the next few games - maybe the players step it up a bit, realizing they don't have the star around to bail them out. Certainly the Flames provide a few examples: making the playoffs without Giordano; or their better performance after th Gaudreau injury.
Bottom line - the Flames should expect an extra hard-working effort from the Jets tonight.
