Yeah, that does look weird and circular. I think my point in the original post was that I had hoped Nashville to win THIS game operating on the very reasonable expectation that they will not win all three of their games in hand. In the end, it doesn't really matter, since the Canucks are hard pressed to stay ahead of Nashville in the long run.
Is Nashville a threat to the Flames' playoff seeding? Only if we do not see the Flames continue to plot their own destiny. When it gets down to it, so long as the Flames keep pushing for one of those three division spots, we do not need to concern ourselves with whatever the Predators do. I still don't see the Oilers finishing the season ahead of the Flames, and as a result, I am not overly concerned about how Nashville performs. Of course that could change. At that point I guess I will start to worry.
