Also, Reimer was the late starter tonight as Luongo was listed as the backup due to an "upper body injury". Luongo has now left the game, leaving the team's emergency goalie, Bobby Seguin, as the only other goaltender in the building for the Panthers.
Reminds me last year of when Luongo left the game with an injury, then Montoya got injured in the game, forcing them to get Robb Tallas to suit up as the backup, and he hadn't played a game since 2001. Both Derek MacKenzie and Scottie Upshall (both forwards) were considering putting the pads on for a while. Montoya attempted to play through his injury, all the while Luongo is on the bench in street clothes. Luongo goes back into the dressing room, suits up again, and finishes the game for Florida.
