They are still married so it wouldn't be lying, frankly I don't give a toss how hard it is, one of them has to move if they actually care about the kids.

Frankly what they should do is reconcile end of story, when you have kids with someone from another country there is no way to divorce that isn't massively damaging to the kids, this is one of those 'suck it up buttercup' moments for both of them.
