The problem is, I think many in society have failed to realize that "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me" is inherently wrong. Take it from someone who was suicidal for most of their teen years, words are often hard to shrug off, and they are often much harder to heal than physical harm.
I didn't see a big problem with the Herald's headline itself, but I think that judging a politician's ability to do their job based on their physical appearance is really immature. Why does it matter that the health minister is overweight? Is her health directly affecting her ability to do the job asked of her? And to be clear, gender doesn't matters here. If it were a male health minister, and he was overweight, it still shouldn't matter.
