Sorry Dis, I don't quite know what you mean...
The man believes that he has a direct discourse with god...
I would think that that might have something to do with his refusal to admit that he was wrong on certain issues.
I know that if I thought god talked to me I probably wouldn't go against what I was told... And I surely wouldn't say that the big guy is wrong!

He doesn't believe he has any more of a direct discourse with God than any other person of faith.
That's how you're exaggerating...and you know you are. [/b][/quote]
I think there's a difference between him and an ordinary "person of fatih", as you described it.
Usually a person prays as a means of self inspection where you ask yourself what god/jesus would do in a situation - becuase they are the embodyment of good, thus making the right/correct decision.
Do most people hear god's voice in their head?
I don't know too many people that would say that. Usually most people have a one way street of dialouge...And if the street does go both ways, the oncoming lane is usually pretty narrow.
The problem with Georgey - to me anyway - is that he seems to have a four lane super highway...
Kind of like undirect vs direct discourse.
And to me that's a little bit scary for a guy who has so much power at his disposal...
I don't know though Dis, it's really tough to have this sort of debate without offending people of faith - and I really don't want to do that. Not sure if this is really a good road to go down (especially considering how touchy everyone is around here right now)...
I'd be happy to communicate via the PM feature if you would like to go indepth with this.
