So does anybody think that when the deal expires in 2020, we may have a different regional player like TSN making a push? We have 3 seasons left after this one concludes before the rights are up for renewal.
I have always liked TSN's production quality, panels and NHL coverage better. Given the grip that Sportsnet has on NHL I am not sure if they would want to continue the high level of concentration on NHL properties given the success of the current national deal or if they would want to diversify a bit.
Also, does anybody have any idea how much the current deal pays the Flames annually and how this compares to other markets and other providers like TSN?
