djsFlames sums it up pretty well. Though the camera angles thing is more by design of the specific buildings. The Dome has certain camera positions that will always be the same, and additional optional positions that won't get used unless it's a big game on CBC (which they still never use) or the playoffs. Remember, the Leafs get cameras on refs, in the bottom of the boards, on a flying wire etc all year long. The Canucks have some of those as well. The Flames? Nope.
It all comes down to Sportsnet just doesn't care and hasn't for years. The Flames entered into a terrible agreement with those clowns and we, the fans, suffer for it. Could you imagine the outrage on HFOil if every time McDived tried to blow past 2 players and shovels the puck wide or directly into the goalie and Kevin Quinn is creaming his pants with "MICKDAAAAAAVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.... shoots wide" is heard while the puck still hasn't passed the dots? That crap would get fixed pretty damn quick.
