Fine if you don't like Vancouver, and each to his own, but from any objective standpoint Vancouver is a world city. It's OK not to want to live there for whatever reason, but to try and argue that it is not one of the better cities in the country (if not the world, by city standards) is very provincial and somewhat comical.

I'm sorry, but, no, Vancouver is NOT a world class city except in the mind of its own citizens. I have lived in this city (Vancouver) for the last 15 years; and it has nothing compared to the other truly world-class cities I've lived in (San Francisco, London England). I've also spent a long of time in Hong Kong, and lived in Montreal and Calgary (but the latter two don't count as world-class).
