I doubt any incoming government kills it. If Canada is pushing through a tax we might as well colllect it locally and keep the money in province. We also needed a PST to have a sustainable tax system rather than rely on resource revenues. We also should pay lip service to climate change to avoid the backlash Harper faced.
So given the above the carbon tax is here to stay.
