I would say a rising dollar is not a particularly good thing for Canadians, especially with hockey teams not playing! Only really good for Cdn's travelling to the US.

and for Canadians buying stuff off Ebay. I have bought more stuff on ebay this month than i have the past 4 years. hmmm i forgot i have still have to pay off my mastercard this month. eek!
