You don't have to walk anywhere. You can just take train to the Dome. It's 1 block from the Marriot. Most people train to the Dome anyway. It stops right at it.
If you walked from the Marriot to the Dome, that truely would be VERY far. The Sheraton is a little further from the closest C-Train station but it should be okay. You could save a lot more money by getting a hotel out in the NW (Banff Trail Area) as they are all right next to a C-Train station...or anywhere South or NE along the C-Train route. Most hotels have a shuttle service to the nearest train station.
You don't want to miss the opportunity of being sardined a traincar full of Flames fans so much that you can't breathe and want to die.
