It's like any other Fairmont Hotel. Grand and "tawny" but I'd take the Sheraton or the Hyatt in a heartbeat over the Palliser or any other Fairmont for that matter. The Fairmonts I've been in are just well....old looking inside the rooms. Same thing in Vancouver, I get the company to park me at the Metropolitan vs the Hotel Vancouver for the same reason.

Let's not overgeneralize here. We were treated to one of the high end suites in the Banff Springs once that was the most spectactular hotel room I've ever seen anywhere in the world. Nothing at any Sheraton could come close to rivalling this room in any way.
