With Hindsight Brent looks better and better in my mind.
He tried to help Iginla change his game to be a more effective player as he began to age. Iginla resisted and now here we are.

Brent Sutter is both head coach and part-time psychologist for the Calgary Flames; a dual role, most coaches say comes with the job. However, convincing Flames captain Jarome Iginla that scoring 30-plus goals is less important than being an all around better player isn't going to be easy.
Calgary doesn't possess the talent or skill to swap goals with the NHL's big boys, so Sutter is demanding accountability from all his players and trying to change the way Iginla thinks and plays the game.
Through 19 games, Iginla is a team worst -12, largely because, according to Sutter, as a goal scorer, Iginla thinks 'goals first.'
While three of Iginla's six goals this season were scored in victories, including two earlier this month in a 4-1 win over the Red Wings, Sutter identifies last Friday's performance in Chicago as his captain's best of the year.
Iginla didn't register a point in the win, but he blocked three shots, was responsible in his own end and played the type of game Sutter expects on a consistent basis.
As long as Sutter is in charge in Calgary, the focus will be on team play and not on propping up Iginla in his quest for a 11th straight 30-plus goal season.
