NON spoiler thoughts..

It's better than Episode VII. Much more satisfying IMO.

On par with Return of the Jedi for me. And I am more fond of that movie than most. Feels straight out of the original trilogy, absolutely loved it.. Maybe because it appeals more to the adult like I am now, while doing service to the kid in me that loved the originals.

Ep. VII for all its fan service still didn't quite feel like Star Wars somehow, and was a complete rehash plot-wise, whereas this a) did the fan servicing better because it got the aesthetic/details of the SW universe down to a T (!) and b) felt like totally original material.

I was grinning ear to ear for probably 80% of it.

8.5/10 (And I'm a harsh critic fwiw)

Only docked for reasons I'll discuss in the appropriate thread.
