Ok. It's been a long time since I've actually been able to watch a Survivor Finale as it was actually playing out. So the following is some train of thought thoughts up to the reveal of the Final 3
Spoiler!
Thoughts as I watched:
Wow, that was a brilliant move by David! And Jay fell for it. So smart to have kept the "This is an Immunity Idol" paper from a previous Idol. What a ploy. Wonder how this is going to work out.
Legacy Advantage...that's huge!
Loved the Immunity Challenge. What an oops by Jay. That likely cost him. I was also amused that several folks were looking at the answer...and still couldn't get it.
Interesting challenge steal. Might as well use it. Jay likely feels like he's going home pdq.
"Was it a working lunch?" Hah! Great question.
Still don't like Hannah at this point (First Tribal) - She just doesn't seem to have any game.
HAHA! Wow, the look on Jay's face...what a play. What a play.
Too bad, Jay. You had a solid, good run. You were one of the top two I'd have wanted to see win this season. Can't disagree, though. If Jay got in front of the jury, he was going to walk home with it.
Interesting challenge, this one. I think that this vote comes down to Bret vs Dave, with Dave losing it.
That's a thought. Final 3 with Dave, Ken and Hannah? That's the order that I'd like.
And...Adam just finds the idol. Hm. Dave goes home. Final 3 looks like Adam, Bret and Ken. Bret wins it cause everyone on the jury loves him.
Telling Hannah...big mistake...If Adam wins (or not) and/or comes back...he has GOT to learn to keep his trap shut. He's talked himself INTO more trouble that he's had to dig himself out of that he should have had to.
Bye, Bret. I have a feeling this is now going to come down to a jury choice between David and Adam. I'm kinda torn on that. I think, despite Adam sniping on David's "story"...I do like it. He's come a LONG way since the first show. I hope that he's able to keep this sort of life momentum going forward.
Hannah...the problem with your strategy of "playing both sides" is that, sooner or later...you need to pick and stick with one. You can't keep stabbing people in the back and expecting them not to expect it from you.
Is this the first challenge that has a set time limit? I can't ever recall one having an actual time limit before.
I've not liked Adam's challenge strategy of backing off the throttle and/or helping others to win. I'm glad that Adam's stack fell over a few times and he wasn't able to wait and win.
Did it seem to anyone else like they weren't always going through the maze? Or was it just clever editing?
Ok. I can't see Ken winning with David in the Final 3. So if he figures that out and goes with Adam and Hannah, he stands a pretty solid chance. Adam's got the story and resume, Hannah doesn't much beyond "Yeah, I kept ending up on the wrong side and winning anyhow, somehow." Ken's got a pretty solid resume, but not much in the way of story. That three goes to Final, I'm thinking it'd look something like 6 Ken, 4 Adam, 0 Hannah.
Ken doesn't do the smart thing, and votes off Adam. Final 3 is Ken, David and Hannah. David wins. Probably something like 8 David, 2 Ken, 0 Hannah.
Ken does the unexpected, and votes off Hannah (best option for the remaining players who actually played). Final 3 of Ken, David and Adam. Would probably look like 7 David, 2 Ken, 1 Adam.
I agree with Adam here. From a purely personal "I want the best chance to win" perspective...Ken needs to vote for David. But...I have a feeling that the fire challenge will appeal to him. I can see it going to Fire.
Wow...Ken actually used his brain and did the smartest move he could make there. I...didn't think he would. I also have to give some mad props to David. He is the last person I'd have though I'd see myself 'cheering' for and enjoy watching him grow so much.I think it's also going to pay off for him. I have a feeling this one'll go either 8 Ken, 2 Adam or 8 Adam, 2 Ken. I'm leaning more towards Ken winning, as Adam stepped on a lot of people
the wrong way going up the ladder, so to speak.
Hannah: "I deserve a million dollars." Oh, no...you so don't.
