He was great on talking dead, I really liked him and I wish an actor as good as he is had a better character, at the end of the day though the fact that I hate his character as much as I do is a testament to the work he did.
His character was every rich, spoiled, entitled and whiny brat everyone has ever known and Negan put that together in two seconds.
Rick and his group are like the rest of us, he indulged and sacrificed to help this idiot, Spencer was a drain on resources and it was tolerated due to ingrained social constructs whereas Negan would have none of it, and theres something satisfying about that.
The indulgence of those luxuries is fine in normal society because it isnt a strain on available resources but when you're clawing to stay alive the dead weight has to be jettisoned.
