Tomatometer going strong at 84%, already certified fresh.

A general feel from what I've read through:

-Those at the negative end are commenting on the dark/bleak feel of the film. Apparently not "feel good" enough for those reviewers. "Morally tangled", and even "dull" being thrown out there. Mind you some of these still gave 2 of 4, and 3 of 5 stars despite being 'rotten'.

-Those in the middle are saying it gives *star wars fans* what they'll come to expect, but might not suck in new fans in the way TFA did. Fun, with some unnecessary things. Is definitely worthwhile, but doesn't rise above. But that's partly because of the extremely high bar that the originals set and the hype going into each new film.

-Those at the positive end are hinting that it has a lot of unexpected feels (in the good sense) packed in, more gritty and adult in nature, delivers the goods we came to hope for and more (maybe a slight against TFA), accumulating in possibly best SW film to release since 1980.

Will be interesting to see where between those the general audience falls.
