I think Iginla the player can help us. Iginla the personality probably not. I bought in a long time ago he deserves credit for two things in Calgary. Being a huge factor in that amazing 2004 run, and everything after including the many years of "I can be better, the team can be better" sound bites and they dysfunctional room.

Hard to separate the man from the myth sometimes. Iginla is a human being which seems so weird and given to write but I think it gets glazed over. He is a skilled player, but there is so much more in sports.

Put me down as a strong no and I like the guy. No offense, but that ship has sailed. I watched Iginla pot 30 goals the last time in Calgary and I will take what I saw in person Saturday to that any day of the week. That team looked dangerous, and heck of a lot of fun to watch. They need to play without any slowness or apprehension.

Hope Iggy goes to the Blackhawks or Canadians wins and calls it a day. He deserves it.
