Those of you voting no, I just don't know why or when you lost that romantic touch to your fandom. Perhaps it's just the way things are these days. We're all too busy looking at contract status, being conservative for the future of our team, over/undervaluing a player based on a stat line, declining or not...perhaps there's just no room for a bit of romanticized fandom in what has become modern fandom. You're absolutely correct, sometimes we're a little too pragmatic as fans. I love this hockey team and I love that player. I can't help but get caught up in the thought of how unbelievable it would be to hear just one time, "Calgary Flames goal scored by number 12 Jarooooooooommmmmme Iginla! assisted by number 13 Johnny Gaudreau!!!! and number 23 Sean Monahan!!!!
