Those of you voting no, I just don't know why or when you lost that romantic touch to your fandom. Perhaps it's just the way things are these days. We're all too busy looking at contract status, being conservative for the future of our team, over/undervaluing a player based on a stat line, declining or not...perhaps there's just no room for a bit of romanticized fandom in what has become modern fandom. I'm very much the same, but not when it comes to Iggy. It would be too great of a story.
...Iggy wearing the Flaming C and raising the cup would be absolutely beautiful. I'd cry tears of joy.
Voted yes, and I sincerely hope it happens.

The more I think about it, the more you're right. The sport memories we will have to look back on years down the road are those storybook endings. Iginla coming home and raising the cup would be exactly that. Our 'Bourque'.
If this was a couple years down the road when the Flames are potentially a contender, I'd be on board. But father time doesn't always line up perfectly with what we want. No way the Flames are contenders this year or next. And asset management is a reason Iggy never got another sniff in the first place. The Flames can't afford to do that again.
