The good thing is that no one in the current management structure of this team will have any debt of gratitude or sense of obligation to Iginla. This management group is as cold eyed as this franchise has ever had with the sole objective being to win.
How an expensive soon to be 40 year old player who is barely holding his head above water with a history of questionable baggage will positively contribute to this team is still something that needs to be explained. Treliving is no fool, sucker or sentimentalist which means you can pretty much place your fan delusions to rest that Iginla would ever be acquired by the Flames.
