And in a nutshell that pretty much sums up the entire gist of this discussion:
1. The Fans (us) want Iggy to retire a Flame.
2. The Fans are optimistic that that the Flames will make the playoffs.
3. The Fans understand that our RW depth is more or less reprehensible.
4. Iginla indicates that theres a chance he'd waive his NTC.
5. Iginla is unquestionably declining but could still have his uses.
6. Iginla's services are probably not desired by an actual contender.
7. The cost would have to be right and that is incredibly low.
So, from a fan's perspective you can see how the pieces kind of line up to make the situation's needle move from 'Not Happening' to 'Not Likely.'
And 'Not Likely' does not mean: 'Impossible.'
