It could make sense in some ways. Flames need scoring RW, and some help on the powerplay. Would be cheap to acquire.

However I think expectations would have to be managed all around. Iginla would be a role player and maybe even be in and out of the lineup at times.

But I understand the hesitation, his best days are clearly behind him. He doesn't have the pace anymore.

As for this dressing room talk, sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me. Iginla is one of the most respected players of his generation, and has never been anything but pure class. He's not the type of guy who would show up expecting the captaincy and run the locker room. He's played for 3 teams since the Flames and accepted his role at all 3 from what I can tell. The guy has been one of the most humble players in the league for 2 decades and still certain people are worried that he's some sort of primadonna. Its completely illogical.
