I forgot about the Weber deal. If I'm McDavid's agent I sell it from the standpoint that he's only one of two true generational players in the game so I want the max dollar if you want a long term deal. But I'll accept 12 for 5 years, or I'll hold my player out, which Edmonton can't afford to happen.

At the same time if I'm the GM of any other team I'm willing to pay the 4 first round draft picks and punishing team addicted to top draft picks so I'm offering 4 years 14.5 mill knowing that there's no way that edmonton can afford to let McDavid go and hope to keep their new building full.
