The Jooris story worked well for the "always earned, never given" mantra that saw a pretty young team overachieve.
He had good production in his first ~20 games in 14-15 after which he looked to me like a fringe player at best and actually squeezed a lot more of a NHL career out of the good will generated by that nice start than I expected.
Seems like a nice kid, hopefully it works out and he finds a role somewhere, but if not, he still has the AHL and he lived the dream for a while.
