Jooris was never the same player after the novelty of being in the NHL wore off for him. His speed and tenacious play disappeared once he became established.

Sort of thing that happens a lot. Guys play part of a season and think they've "made it" and gradually stop scratching and clawing for their spot.
Those guys have to play every game like it's their last chance or they get washed out. It's easy to say it's impossible to maintain that pace... but that is what they have to do.
Hope he gets another shot down the line, but so few even get what he got.
